Three combined PDFs fired 18 mortar long-range mortar rounds into the junta's northwest military command HQ in Monywa yesterday, including four 120mm and fourteen 60mm shells. Casualties aren't known yet, but it signals to the junta that no place is secure for the military. (Khit Thit Media)

Urban warfare------------------
Even in the military capital of Naypyitaw, junta officials sneak around and request armed escorts due to the fear of urban guerrilla attacks. Public offices have sandbag bunkers in front. Members of the illegal regime are feeling the anger of the people and live in worry for their lives. (Khit Thit Media)
In Yangon, a junta administrator in Thingangyun township was shot in the head today by urban guerrillas and is hospitalized in critical condition. [Update: He died.] In Mingaladon township, an urban PDF bombed a junta electric company substation yesterday. A couple who were local junta administrators in Shwepyitha township was shot today, and the women died. (Mizzima)
Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM)-------------------
The junta announced today that it printed and distributed 330 billion kyats of new banknotes (worth approximately US$110 million, for the moment anyway) to its various departments. (Khit Thit Media) Since this is printed paper only, not backed by any foreign currency or gold reserves, the likelihood is that it will contribute to the galloping inflation since the coup began. The kyat breached the threshold of 3,000 to the US dollar today for the first time ever; it was 1,300:1 at the time of the coup.
