Burma coup resistance notes July 28, 2022
There is more to the story of the 13-year-old boy shot off the back of his father's motorcycle 2 days ago in Mangyi Ote village while fleeing a junta attack in Khin Oo township of Sagaing Region. After 5 members of the local PDF braved junta gunfire to rescue the boy, who had gunshot wounds to his chest and arm, they put him in a car with his parents to go to a nearby hospital. The car was intercepted by junta troops, who yanked the bleeding boy out of the car and threw him into a roadside ditch where he died. Then they took the mother's jewelry and beat her. The captain of the PDF fighters who rescued the boy was killed by junta gunfire. (Khit Thit Media) After that attack on Mangyi Ote village, the returning junta troops were drone-bombed by a specialized PDF yesterday; 7 were killed and 18 wounded. A number of villagers are still held hostage by the junta troops, and it is unknown at this time whether they will be the subject of another massacre. (Kachin News Group)
