The Karen took the weapons and left the camp. Jets and helicopters bombed the area afterwards, killing 3 and wounding 10 civilians only; two children were among the dead. (Khit Thit Media)
The junta’s retaliation for the loss of its Taungkalay camp also spread to Xro Ther Pler (Payathonsu or Three Pagodas Pass on Burmese maps), where jets bombed two more lead/antimonite mines and ruined some metal roofing sheets. Another mine was bombed last week. A column of enemy troops also moved into Jondoh township and is firing randomly with mortars, causing villagers to flee. (People's Spring)
Karen army Brigade 5 announced today that it attacked 3 junta camps at the Papun police barracks, Leh Toh, and Kaw Thway Jo during the period Nov. 16-19. Two junta troops were killed and others wounded, but the casualties are unknown at Leh Toh where the Karen forces stormed the camp. (Khit Thit Media)

Six Chinese-made FTC 2000G fighter jets will be delivered to Naypyitaw from China in the next 3 days, each costing US$8.5 million. This comes after the revelation that four Chinese-made FT-27 fighter jets already in Burma have malfunctioning firing systems. (Khit Thit Media)
A leaked report says 35 of the notorious Insein Prison’s 800 guards have run away since the bombing that killed 13 people there. Staff are not allowed to resign, so to leave their jobs, they must escape, not unlike the prisoners they guard. And of course, it’s not possible to find new recruits. The report speaks of harsh working conditions, bad food, and low pay, in addition to the prison being targeted for urban guerrilla attacks. (The Chindwin)
Junta scorched earth village terrorism campaign---------------
Troops launched an assault on Kyaiktaing farming village in Kantbalu township this morning, driving out the population with mortar fire. Then they began burning the homes of the community. In Khin Oo township, more than 500 homes have been burned down in 5 days in junta arson attacks. (The Irrawaddy)
People’s Defense Forces (PDFs)-----------------
A group of women PDF soldiers killed a junta administrator in front of his house in Pakokku town today after warning him several times to stop threatening and extorting citizens. On Nov. 18 they also assassinated a dalan who was retired from the army in Pakokku. (People's Spring)
Coordinated PDFs in Tamu township, Sagaing Region yesterday set off a string of bombs simultaneously on a road where junta troops were marching, killing 10 of them. They say this is retaliation for the seizure of 6 of their camps on Nov. 15. (Mizzima)
In Palay township, a PDF coalition attacked a junta/Pyu Saw Htee camp at Zee Phyu Kone yesterday with locally-manufactured mortars, wounding at least 3. The purpose of the attack was to allow local farmers to harvest crops without being attacked by the terrorists, who have been stealing farmers’ crops as they ripen. (Myanmar Now)
Urban warfare------------------
In Yangon, an urban PDF bombed junta troops at a fire station in North Okalappa township yesterday, wounding 2 soldiers. Explosions and gunfire were reported in Hlaing, Insein, South Dagon, and Mayangone townships. (Khit Thit Media)
Two residents of condemned neighborhoods in Mingaladon township hung themselves. They had nowhere to go. (Mizzima) The junta has ordered 50,000 to leave so it can demolish 10,000 homes, temples, shops, and other properties. It hasn’t given those 50,000 people anywhere else to live.
In Mandalay, residents of 5,000 homes in Chanmyathasi township were ordered out yesterday so the junta could demolish them overnight. A video shows civilians hurriedly loading belongings into hired trucks. (Khit Thit Media)
In Mandalay, junta troops ambushed an urban PDF yesterday, killing one soldier on the spot and capturing 3 others. (The Irrawaddy) The regime’s usual practice is to torture its prisoners-of-war to death, so the 3 who were captured should be counted as dead. The question will be whether the junta can obtain the identities of other PDF members from them, thus endangering those.
Political and economic-------------------
