Burma Coup Resistance Notes says Goodbye for now
Burma Coup Resistance Notes will be reporting on the Revolution from a different angle starting this week, and will not have access to the internet, so these daily reports will now stop, at least for a while.
Support for Burma’s Spring Revolution will only stop when the junta is utterly crushed. It is coming faster now.
It has been nearly 2 years since the illegal coup. During this time a generation has taken on the enormous responsibility of tearing down a 60-year-old dictatorship and replacing it with federal democracy. Young people have given up their lives as students and workers, and have gone to the jungle to learn military skills and risk their lives fighting. Others have helped feed the 1.6 million new refugees, or sheltered CDM workers, or helped arm the resistance forces.
PDF members and National Unity Government innovators have created new ways of fighting with drones; financing a Revolution with lotteries and sales of junta properties; making rockets out of mobile phone towers; and blowing up thousands of junta soldiers with roadside bombs.
The junta has airplanes, helicopters, and mortars, but it is running out of people. Week by week, there are fewer soldiers to send against the ethnic armies and PDFs. There are more places the junta can’t control. This war is going one direction – toward victory and freedom for the people of Burma and the ethnic nations.
Please keep following the news. Support the Revolution with your dollars, baht, euros, and your attention.
